The European Association of Perfume and Cosmetic Products (APCE for its initials in Spanish) has attended the most important franchising fair in Spain ‘Expofranquicia’ which took place between 21th and 23th of April in IFEMA in Madrid.
More than 520 companies took part in this fair; all of them are in an expansion process. Apart from the Spanish ones, there were brands from Australia, United States, France, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Andorra, Belgium… The fair also included a pavilion for United States this year.
The Spanish Association of Franchising has published that 1.232 networks with 65.810 stores operated in Spain until the end of 2015 and these companies created 253.913 jobs. The turnover of the year reached 26.482m which means a 2,3 percent more than in 2014.
The European Association of Perfume and Cosmetic Products (APCE for its initials in Spanish) supports entrepreneurship through the franchising model in the perfume and cosmetic industry. Its members have created many jobs over the past few years through self-employment and it has become a great working opportunity for many salaried people who lost their jobs.
